Hello. My name is Mekinzey Parks. I am a dance education major, with a minor in math education, and an endorsement in elementary education for dance. I have been a student at Southern Utah University for 5 years now and have gotten the most of my education through constant study and involvement. I wanted to include the community into my love of education while advocating for dance and the arts, thus creating a project which enables students to learn through dance. I love how dance is a means of expression and not simply just moving the body around in space (though it can be). Dance is an art and a language, a means of learning, and a way for people to increase their self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-motivation. I love dancing and I love teaching people how to express themselves in ways they perhaps have not tried before.
