Beginning on August 10th, I began the first dance class at Gateway Preparatory Academy. My goal was to give my students a
variety of styles of dance and experiences to enable them
to find something that they feel confident in. A few of the
lessons we have explored are listed below; take some time and look at the videos, lesson plans, and pictures of some of our projects.

Our Course Description:
This class will be an introduction to dance where we learn how to properly warm and stretch, explore movement in space, work together to create dances, and learn how dance fits into other cultures and regions. Students will be able to create unique movement through improvisation and movement activities. No prior dance is needed, only happy attitudes and willingness to learn.
